FMGE stands for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination. It is a screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for foreign medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in India. The test is conducted twice a year, in June and December.

The FMGE exam tests the medical knowledge of foreign medical graduates. It is a multiple-choice question exam, and the questions are based on the syllabus of the MBBS course in India. The test is conducted in English, and the duration is 3 hours.

The FMGE exam is a qualifying exam, and a passing score is required in order to obtain a license to practice medicine in India.

The most useful thing you can do to balance your everyday activities with your studying is to create a schedule. Make a schedule by splitting up the complete syllabus. Follow the plan; if any topics are left out, you can concentrate the final few days on covering them. Make time for both weekly and daily adjustments.

Never study everything outside what is essential; doing so is a waste of time. Use the prior year's question papers and practice tests to narrow down the subject to cover, or seek guidance from someone who has already passed the test. The subjects and topics should be ordered according to importance and weight.

The candidates must complete the entire curriculum. Instead of concentrating on one subject's preparation, give each one the same quantity of time. Because you have limited resources and cannot afford to take this kind of risk, avoid utilizing short-cut strategies like concentrating on one topic or issue while disregarding others.

Most candidates just focus on their strongest areas, leaving the difficult and time-consuming topics to the very last minute. It significantly affects both your ranking and overall performance. Scheme of the exam 

  • The test will be given in an online format.
  • The language of the test will be English.
  • 300 multiple-choice questions will serve as the foundation for evaluating candidates.
  • The questions on the FMGE test will all be given equal weight.
  • Each accurate response would receive one mark.
  • No points will be given or subtracted for incorrect responses.
  • There will be two parts to the exam: Part A and Part B.
  • The applicant will have two hours and thirty minutes to complete each section.
  • According to the FMGE 2022 exam design, a candidate must receive at least 50% of the maximum score to pass.
