FMGE 2023, a national entrance examination, is for foreign medical graduates. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) administers the test twice a year in the months of June and December. The FMGE enables candidates to get permanent or temporary registration with the Indian Medical Council. Only through the FMGE exam will candidates be allowed to register with the Medical Council of India (MCI). FMGE 2023 Application Form

Candidates must go through the following details regarding FMGE 2023 Application form:

Only online access to the application form will be provided.

  • The application form will be made available beginning in the second week of March 2023 for the June session and beginning in the second week of October 2023 for the December session.
  • Candidates must complete all sections on the application form because incomplete information will result in rejection.
  • Candidates must upload a passport-size photo and their signature in the required format during registration.
  • The last day to submit an application is the first week of April 2023 for the June session and the last week of October 2023 for the December session.
  • Once the application form is completely filled, candidates must not forget to take its printout for future use.

Application Fee:

Applicants can pay their application fees online.

Payment methods for the application fee include debit card, credit card, and net banking.

In any circumstances, the application cost will not be refunded.

FMGE 2023 – Steps to Apply 

Step 1: Go to the FMGE 2023 website 

Step 2: Select FMGE 2023 session from the homepage.   

The next step is to select the "application link" button.      

Step 4: To register an account, enter your User ID and password.

Step 5: Next, complete the application form by entering every detail.

Step 6: Double-check the information provided and press the "submit" button.

Step 7: Pay the application fee 

Step 8: Print off your application so you have it for future use.

FMGE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian citizen or an Indian citizen living abroad.

Qualification: Candidates must possess a primary medical degree that has been approved by the Indian embassy in question and acknowledged by medical doctors.

Other requirements: Candidates who have passed medical exams in nations including Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America won't need to pass the screening test.

FMGE 2023 Exam Pattern              

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of this type will be included in the exam.
  • The exam will last 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes for each half.
  • The paper will only be available in English as a medium.
  • Total Questions: There will be 300 total questions in the exam.
  • There will be no restriction on the number of attempts an applicant may take.
  • There will be no negative marking on the paper, and each correct response will receive one mark.

Anatomy: Human Genetics, General Anatomy, Elements of anatomy, Sectional Anatomy, Embryology, Surface Anatomy.

Physiology: Kidney, Body Fluid, Endocrine, Respiratory system, General Physiology, Reproduction, Cardiovascular system, Respiratory System.

Biochemistry: Carbohydrates, Nuclear Acid, Amino Acid, lipids, mineral, vitamins, isotopes and their applications.

Microbiology: Bacteriology, Systematics Virology, Clinical applied, microbiology, immunology, parasitology.

Pathology: Genetics disorder, disease of the breast, infectious disease, neuropathology, respiratory pathology.

Forensic Medicine: Courts of India, Dowry death, forensic psychiatry, definitions, changes after death, courts procedures.
